Forty-two pieces from 20.51 to 21.00, with two reserve gaps (2087, 2090) and the already-documented abstract cups sitting mid-range, untouched and linked from both sides. The run opens on brushwork carried over from the previous range — the toast-tan loop-handled 2051 and zebra-striped 2052 — then a milky pinched bowl (2053) and a stone-grey torn-rim bottle (2054) clear the table for the range’s first family.
The rocky chawans hold the fifties: handle-less tea-bowl cups that photograph like river stones, six in a row from 2055 to 2060 plus kin at 2062, 2063, 2064, 2066, and 2067. Three of them wear the pale swipes that put a new term in the registry; four carry silvery line-drawings at their dark wells; three hold glassy pools. In the middle of them sits the range’s great oddity — 2061, the cup fused to a chip-studded rock — and past them, the white pair 2068 and 2069 jut their gnarled twisted handles sideways, and a pale sand-grit chawan 2070 with a pointed sculptural handle sits just before the big vessels begin.
Then the vessels: nine large handbuilt forms, 2071 through 2079, from bare kneaded clay with a plum vein to the ten-photo speckle storm of 2080. Six of them carry the batch’s headline term — an erupted nodule, boss, or shard plate breaking through the wall — from 2073’s foamy burst to the shard-swallowing jar 2077. After the frozen abstract cups, the range runs home through the painted ink-wash family (2081–2084, photographed at a home table, group portraits and all), the sandy white-lined twins 2096 and 2097, and the splashed tail of navy-blob cups — 2093, 2094, 2095, 2098, and the frosted indigo 2099 — closing at the century mark: 2100, twenty-one dollars even.
