What’s bursting out of these vessels? Six reviewed pieces in the 2051–2100 range — all from one run of large handbuilt vessels — carry something erupting through the wall: a foamy pale boss on 2073, twin maroon glassy nodules on 2074, a crumbly red cluster on 2075, shard-like plates ringed with crack halos all over the glazed jar 2077 and the bare globe 2078, and a pocked patch trailing a drip down 2079.
What erupted — grog bursting, a stone inclusion, a mass added on purpose — is never asserted; the pages record the breach and leave the geology alone. The term is kept apart from surface-nodules, whose small dark nodules ride on the surface: an erupted nodule comes through it. Neighbors that almost qualify stay in prose — 2076’s red flecks are pressed in, not breaking out, and 2080’s pale patches smear over its speckle rather than erupting. Approved in the 2026-07-12 batch-13 ruling with six founding members.
