Rounded white speckled handbuilt ceramic cup photographed base-up, showing a handwritten number and a black band stroke near the foot, piece 2095 of A Penny For Your Pottery.

This listing leads with its signature: the hero photo is taken base-up, the rounded globe body tipped toward the camera so “2095” handwritten in black ink is the first thing you read, a glossy black band stroke circling near the foot with one crusted patch. Upright, it’s a waisted round cup on speckled white — one long pale-blue swipe runs rim to belly, charcoal-black splash masses hug the foot line, and loose black spatter drifts across the flank. The reverse face goes bolder: a large glossy black field descends from the rim over a slate-grey wash, two tones deep, with white flashing through the gaps.

Why photograph the bottom first? Because on this cup the base is a title page — number, ink, and one black underline. Piece 2095 of 10,000, listed at $20.95.
