White glazed handbuilt ceramic cup painted with a soft black cloud blob, turquoise-blue washes, and a navy band, piece 2081 of A Penny For Your Pottery.

A new photo session and a new family: the painted ink-wash cups, 2081 through 2084, shot at a home table rather than on the studio sweep. This one is a small white glazed cup, no handle, decorated like a wet-on-wet painting — a soft black cloud blob, turquoise-blue washes bleeding at their edges, a navy band circling the lower body, black spatter and tiny rust flecks over the brushed decoration. Inside it runs glossy cream, speckled, with two amber-brown spots. Where companion cups appear in frame, they stay anonymous — each of these listings speaks only for its own cup.

Is it painted? As decoration, yes — washes and blobs applied like ink on paper, then fired into permanence; what’s in the ink stays off the record. Piece 2081 of 10,000, listed at $20.81.
