A small round cup, no handle, standing on a narrow foot — and one face does all the talking. A soft black mass sits mid-body with edges that bled outward as they went down, turquoise washing through it and past it, a navy band circling the lower body and a second dark stroke riding the rim above. Dark speckle drifts across the cream-white ground, and the whole weather system is brushed decoration, fired permanent.
Turn the cup and the storm clears. The far face is mostly quiet cream — one turquoise patch at its edge, a scatter of small dark blobs, a few rust-amber pin-spots. Looking straight down, the interior runs cream-grey and glossy, peppered with dark specks over a soft spiral in the well. The last view tips the cup onto its side: a bare pale foot ring, and one broad black stroke crossing the wall just above it.
Which side is the front? Whichever one you set facing out — the cloud takes up a third of the cup, and the rest is the sky it crossed. Piece 2081 of 10,000, listed at $20.81.
