The boldest of the splashed tail: satin black cloud fields wrap most of the body, pale blue-grey haze bleeding at their edges, white reserve zones flashing through like breaks in overcast. Black splotches dot the foot line above a slightly flared foot ringed with a glossy white skirt. Looking in, the glossy white interior carries fine dark spatter and one emphatic black speck cluster near the rim, where the exterior’s black descends to meet it. The base states its case plainly: “2098” handwritten in black ink, fully legible.
How dark does it get? About two-thirds eclipse — black owns most of the sky, and the white that remains reads brighter for it. Piece 2098 of 10,000, listed at $20.98.
