Rocky rust handbuilt ceramic tea-bowl cup with pale patches and a dark glossy crusted rim, piece 2067 of A Penny For Your Pottery.

Kin to the 20552060 chawan run and wearing all the family colors: torn rim, bare rust flanks, pale patches, dark glossy crust up top. Its interior swirls brown through tan in marbled currents — a look the photos can’t attribute, so it stays a look — with distinct glossy pools sitting wet over the swirl at the well’s center, third glassy well in the range after 2062 and 2063. The base-up shot shows “2067” incised, a bit scratchy but confidently readable.

Is the inside painted? Swirled, not painted — marbled currents under a pool of glass, all of it made in the making. Piece 2067 of 10,000, listed at $20.67.
