The pale second half is kin to the abstract cups: cream and white-buff cups under grey-lavender rim bands, decorated in dark brushwork — splatter (1925, 1926), horizon lines (1928, 1939, 1941), the dripping grey-rimmed pair 1940 and 1942 with green-and-red flecks in the pale glaze, dry scratch strokes (1929), one bold looping gesture (1943) — plus wrapped and scribbled lines whose method stays unproven (1931, 1934), leaf-print ghosts (1935), torn dark patches (1932), a recurring plum-drip note (1930, 1936, 1937), and two handwritten base numbers (1925, 1944).
