Footed ceramic cup with a silvery drippy metallic band at the rim and a mottled cream interior, piece 1915 of A Penny For Your Pottery.

One of a footed pair with 1916: a cup whose rim wears a silvery, drippy metallic band, pewter runs reaching down the wall, over a mottled cream interior. Concentric rings and a trimmed foot show in the photos — wheel evidence, so no handbuilding claim here. The pair echoes the footed bowls 2334/2335 from an earlier review.

Is that real metal? It photographs pewter-bright from every angle, which is why it carries the sheen tag — it’s salt-fired, the luster and its pewter runs left by the kiln’s salt vapor. Piece 1915 of 10,000, listed at $19.15.
