The run opens white: cups veined, smeared, and streaked with dark grit over pale glaze (1951, 1957, 1977), two pinholed cream cups (1955, 1956), a silvery line-drawing hiding inside 1952, and a torn-rim cup wearing its hairline crack openly. Then the ground turns to stone: granite chawans (1958, 1959, 1962), one of which — 1963 — pairs a store-stated “Leaks!” with the run’s best secret, a marbled two-clay interior.
The middle is the boulder decade: nine closed rock-forms from 1960 (pink-blushed, noduled, number painted on the flank) through the burnt-and-snow faces of 1961, the lavender-staged 1964 and 1968, to the leaf-print fossil 1967 and the tall cratered 1972. After them, the tea line returns wearing the run’s blue thread — milky blue-grey rim bands on 1973, 1989 and 1990 — past the lettered stone 1979, the white pool at 1982’s well, and the mud-crack crust of 1983.
And then the catalog does something it had never done: it grows **handles**.
