A taller handbuilt cup in plaster white, its wavering rim wearing a pocked, pinholed grey-green band like weathered mortar. The surprise waits inside: at the well, a silvery, iridescent line-drawing — a circle with a loose scribble caught in it — the run’s first interior line mark, kin to the drawings inside 2252, 2254 and 2258. Faint brown freckles dust the matte body.
Was the drawing put there on purpose? It reads as a deliberate mark and is tagged as one; what it depicts, if anything, stays the pot’s business. Piece 1952 of 10,000, listed at $19.52.
