The showpiece of the late batch: a rounded tan-brown gritty boulder on a dark trimmed foot, its whole top third coated in vivid ultramarine-to-cornflower blue granular crust — matte and sandy, mixed with white grit speckles — with blue-grey drips streaking down the bare shoulders. The top-down photo reads as pure lapis around a dark torn mouth. This is broad, field-coverage blue rather than the small glassy flecks found elsewhere in the batch — it’s the founding member of the blue-crust family, joined by 2041 and 2042, on an otherwise bare handbuilt body.
Is piece 2037’s blue the same as the batch’s blue flecks? No — flecks are small and glassy, and this is a whole matte dome; different enough that it founded its own term in the registry. Piece 2037 of 10,000, listed at $20.37.
