White handbuilt ceramic cup crusted with dark grit and embedded pale chips, rust-toned staining, held in hand, piece 2262 of A Penny For Your Pottery.

The most heavily crusted of the three white cups: dense dark grit speckle banked into drifts across a glossy cream body, pale angular chips embedded through the crust, rust-toned staining bleeding through the white. Inside, the glossy white wall carries a clear hairline crack running down from the rim — recorded as seen, characterized as nothing. Its photos are dated June 22, 2026 — the same session as the pilot’s second half. The base carries a clear 2262, incised.

Is the surface rough? It photographs that way — crusted, gritted, and chipped like something dug up, with the gloss sitting over all of it. Piece 2262 of 10,000, listed at $22.62.
