The pilot’s white family continues past its documented edge: a handbuilt cup in cream-white clay, its wall torn and gouged in rough horizontal pulls, peppered with patches of dark grit-like speckle. The inside turns smooth and glossy white, with one fine line running down the back wall — noted as seen, nothing more. Flip it over and the base is a visible spiral coil, carrying a faint number 2261 incised white-on-white.
What’s on the bottom? A spiral — the base shows its clay coiled in a visible whorl, with the number 2261 incised faintly across the top of it. Piece 2261 of 10,000, listed at $22.61.
