A flat, roughly square slab with slightly irregular edges. The top face is a glossy dark brown, nearly black, with a streaked, brushed texture, and pale cream-tan unglazed patches gather near the upper corners and edges. A thin vertical crack or fissure line crosses the left third of the top face, seen in both top views.
The underside is matte, unglazed, dark charcoal black, and carries “2353” handwritten in pale pigment.
What are the pale patches at the corners? Areas of unglazed cream-tan clay, concentrated near the upper corners and edges of the glossy top face. Piece 2353 of 10,000, listed at $23.53.
