Where 2028 wore its brick-red as a wash from the crown, this boulder goes nearly all the way under: deep-red crumbly crust plates wrap the whole handbuilt body over greyish-tan clay, tapering to a narrow foot, with a small torn hole at the crown. The surprise is in the shoulder crevice — a nest of unmistakable deep-blue glassy beads, with a smaller blue smear at the crown edge and white crumbly mineral patches breaking the red.
Where’s the blue on piece 2035? Tucked in a crevice like eggs in a ledge — you’d miss the beads from arm’s length, which is what the macro shots are for. Piece 2035 of 10,000, listed at $20.35.
