Large warm russet-tan handbuilt ceramic amphora with a raised squared neck collar, two rough pulled loop handles, granular maroon crust zones and deep-blue glassy veins at the neck crease, piece 2034 of A Penny For Your Pottery.

The largest of the batch’s amphoras, photographed from eight angles: a warm russet-tan body rising to a raised squared neck collar with a ragged wavy rim, flanked by two rough pulled loops — neck plus handles, the full amphora signature. Granular maroon-red crust crowds the crown and shoulder (a warm-bodied cousin of the rusty crusts on 2027 and 2028), deep-blue glassy veins pool in the neck crease, and grey-white drip lines run the handbuilt flanks among black soot marks.

Why does piece 2034 get eight photos? Scale and incident — a big form with a different story on every side, from blue-veined neck to dripped flank. Piece 2034 of 10,000, listed at $20.34.
