The handles curl back on themselves like rams’ horns — both pierced, both pulled — flanking a cylindrical collar neck on a warm sand-tan handbuilt body. Plaster-white smears crust the shoulder, wine-maroon streaks drag around the neck in brushy arcs (the rust family of 2001 and 2009 speaking in a softer voice), and one photo shows the crown side crazing into pale plates.
What makes piece 2015’s handles different? Every amphora so far wears simple loops; 2015’s spiral inward before they land, the first curled pair in the family. Piece 2015 of 10,000, listed at $20.15.
