A flat, thin slab with irregular, torn-looking edges rather than a straight-cut outline. The top face is a mottled dark brown to near-black field broken by lighter tan and beige streaky patches, and cream bare clay shows in patches along the edges where the dark surface stops. The underside settles into a flatter, more uniform matte dark brown-black, carrying “2363” handwritten in pale pigment.
Do the two faces match? No: the top is mottled and streaked in dark browns while the underside is a more uniform matte dark brown-black, visually distinct from the face it backs. Piece 2363 of 10,000, listed at $23.63.
