A flat, roughly square slab with an irregular edge, photographed in the August 16 wave. The top face is streaked in mid-brown and tan over a cream ground, and darker brown-to-near-black patches gather along the left edge and the lower-right corner. Turned over, the underside is a uniform matte near-black holding a faint grid-like texture and a small tan-gold patch at one corner, with “2362” handwritten in pale pigment.
Why is one edge darker? Brown-to-near-black patches concentrate along the left edge and the lower-right corner, standing out against the lighter streaked ground of the face. Piece 2362 of 10,000, listed at $23.62.
