A flat slab, roughly square to rectangular, with an irregular edge and the palest top face of the August 16 batch: a pale cream and tan ground crossed through the middle by a broad, dark brown band. A cluster of small dark pits sits within the band, and fine hairline lines thread through the pale area. The underside is a uniform matte near black, marked with a handwritten “2361” in pale pigment.
How does it stand apart from its batch? The face runs pale where its neighbors run dark: a cream ground carrying a single broad dark band instead of an overall dark surface. Piece 2361 of 10,000, listed at $23.61.
