A small, closed handbuilt boulder form — rounded and rock-like, resting on a flattened base — in coarse, near-black bare clay the color of charcoal. The surface is granular and pinched, streaked and dusted with pale mineral-like marks. Across the flattened crown, a row of three round holes is bored clean through the wall; in two of the photos, dried blue flower stems are set into them.
