A tall bottle: a bulbous, near-black charcoal body drawing in to a short neck and opening at a torn, flared rim. A pale frost blooms over the dark wall, webbed with fine crackle lines, and a few small copper-bright flecks glint where the light catches. The top-down frame looks straight down the dark bore; the base, in a thumbed hollow, carries an incised number scratched into the clay. The uneven, pinched rim and lopsided walls read as handbuilt.
Where does the frosted, crackled look come from? The photos show a pale frost blooming over the charcoal body and crazing into fine lines, with occasional copper-coloured glints — all described by appearance, never by glaze recipe or firing. Piece 1828 of 10,000, listed at $18.28.
