A rounded, rock-like vessel with a heavily textured, lumpy wall, sitting on a small foot and opening into a wide, jagged torn rim. The dark body is broken across with pale frost-like speckle, chalky white patches, and a few bright glassy flecks along the torn edge; a short split runs down from the rim on one side. The overhead photo looks straight into the deep interior, where the floor shows a faint swirl, and the standing views frame the ragged mouth against a studio and a pale floor.
What happened to the rim? It is a widely torn, jagged opening across the top of the form — recorded here as it appears, with no account of cause. Piece 1792 of 10,000, listed at $17.92.
