Its upper body wears a pale cream crazed crust that has broken into a dense mosaic of mud-crack plates, scattered with small pits, while the lower body and base darken to brown-black where the coating thins away. The first two photos lay it on its side; the last two stand it upright, held in a hand and set on a studio table.
