Photographed August 16, a flat, roughly square slab with irregular, wavy edges. The top face is a swirl: pale cream and dark brown laid in sweeping circular arcs that converge on a dark oval eye near the center, with a dark border framing the swirl along parts of the edge. Its swirled face has a twin in 2372.
The underside carries “2371” handwritten alongside a scribed ring and crosshatch scratch lines.
What is the dark spot in the swirl? A roughly oval eye sits just off center, where the sweeping cream and brown arcs converge, and it holds that place in every top-facing photograph. Piece 2371 of 10,000, listed at $23.71.
