A flat, roughly square slab with irregular, torn-looking edges. The top surface is two-toned: glossy dark black over roughly the right two-thirds, breaking to a matte tan-cream mottled area with an orange-brown streak in the upper left. A strip of bare, unglazed cream clay runs along one edge, visible in both top views.
The underside is a uniform matte dark brown, nearly black, and carries “2348” handwritten in pale pigment near the center.
Where does the black stop? The glossy black covers roughly the right two-thirds of the top face; the upper left holds a matte tan mottled area with an orange-brown streak, and bare cream clay shows along one edge. Piece 2348 of 10,000, listed at $23.48.
