A small handbuilt ceramic cup, chunkier and rounder than some others in this batch, with white crackle and heavy dark speckling. Photographed held in a human hand in several images, giving a real sense of scale. Fine hairline cracks are visible across the body in two of the secondary photos. The base carries the number 2253, incised into the clay rather than painted. A close interior view shows a thin loop-like line mark near the rim, similar in kind to those on pieces 2252 and 2254.
What is Ceramic Piece 2253? It’s a handmade cup, roughly palm-sized based on the hand-held photos — the 2,253rd piece in this 10,000-piece series, listed at $22.53.
