The run’s most decorated bowl. A deep, conical stoneware form — coarse and grogged, its buff-grey outer wall carrying dark patches and embedded grit — opens to a pale interior brushed at the center with a bold black cross of strokes, a gate-mark echoing the one on cup 2184. The brushwork sits inside rather than out. Its lower neighbor 2198 joined the catalog in the August 2026 wave. The base carries “2199” handwritten.
A mark inside the bowl? A bold black gate of brushed strokes laid in the well, the same figure as 2184’s cup — the only interior brushwork of the closing bowls. Piece 2199 of 10,000, listed at $21.99.
