After forty-odd cups, the May-12 session brings bowls — and this is the first: a wide, shallow footed bowl on a trimmed foot, its buff ground worked with dark brown-black brushed patches and a few loose strokes, the inside kept pale. The dark is applied, brushed on rather than fired in. The base carries “2193” handwritten.
