Two dark events share one white handbuilt cup. Down the left flank a black tongue pours over the rim — thick, crusted, pitted with bubbles like cooled tar, its tail crossing the base edge as a blob. On the other face a broad matte black swath stands pinhole-pitted. Between them the mid-body wears a chalky matte field of blue crust, speckled and scratch-textured, with a pale blue band at the foot. The interior stays white but for one toasted smudge; the base shows “2135” handwritten in black.
Did the tongue drip up or down? Down — over the lip, thinning as it fell, freezing before the foot; the photos catch its whole run. Piece 2135 of 10,000, listed at $21.35.
