The splash run goes lunar: this handmade cup’s slate-navy mass is pocked all over with small round craters, so up close it reads like moon surface, with frost-white haze drifting across the cream ground beside it. Low on the same face, near the foot, sit a pale peach-toned patch and a few short thin dark stroke marks on the cream. The opposite face is quieter: fine dark speckle, a pale sky-blue streak down the lower body, and one isolated dark blob near the foot. The base shows “2114” handwritten on bare clay.
Craters: raised or sunken? Sunken: little round wells in the navy where the light pools pale at the bottoms. Piece 2114 of 10,000, listed at $21.14.
