The most energetic of the splash cups: its navy ink cloud doesn’t sit still but throws fine starburst fringes in every direction, spray-thin lines radiating off the mass, and like 2110 it sends a runner over the rim into the white interior. The handbuilt walls keep their wobble under all that motion; the base shows “2112” handwritten on bare clay.
What makes it a starburst? The fringe — dozens of hair-thin navy rays flaring off the blot’s edge, frozen mid-spray. Piece 2112 of 10,000, listed at $21.12.
