The 2101–2150 range opens with a waisted handbuilt cup whose whole surface is dry-brushed — navy strokes scrubbed sideways over white so the pale ground flickers through everywhere, a cool blue frost sheen settling over the shoulders. The strokes stay scratchy and directional on every face, thinning almost to bare white at the waist; the wobbling rim carries navy over its edge, and the base shows “2101” handwritten on bare clay.
Where does the white come from? It was never painted — it’s the ground showing through wherever the dry brush skipped, which is nearly everywhere. Piece 2101 of 10,000, listed at $21.01.
