Half of the run’s banded pair: broad sandy-buff bands alternate with near-black around this handbuilt cup, and an open crack runs from the rim down through the buff zone — plainly visible, plainly photographed, characterized no further. A glossy pale edge lines the inner rim. With 1890 it gives the zebra look its two members; with 2256 it gives the registry’s rim-crack term its second.
Is the crack part of the design? The page can’t and won’t say — it’s an open split from the rim, shown as-is in the listing, recorded here the same way. Piece 1888 of 10,000, listed at $18.88.
