The richest surface in the 1848–1899 run, documented across five photos: a handbuilt rocky vessel in slate blue-grey, seamed with rust-amber crust that carries glossy, wet-looking drips down the flank, and pierced clean through with small holes. Every angle adds a detail — crust thickening along ridges, a drip caught mid-wall, the holes opening to shadow. All of it stays what the camera shows: color, crust, shine, and openings, causes unnamed.
