A pale lavender-grey vessel, waisted at the middle and open at the top under a torn, uneven rim. Its wall is a dense, sand-textured grit from foot to lip, so heavily flecked with pale grains that the surface reads almost frosted. A low horizontal crease wraps the lower body, and the lopsided form and uneven rim read as handbuilt work.
Is the pale colour a coating? The photo shows a bare, sandy grit-flecked wall rather than any applied finish — the paleness is texture and grit catching the sun, not a stated glaze. Piece 1824 of 10,000, listed at $18.24.
