A closed, rock-like boulder form: a rounded dark body drawing in to a small, torn mouth, with no neck and no handles. The whole surface is a rough, sand-textured crust, gritty and pitted like weathered stone, dark brown-charcoal with pale flaking patches high on one shoulder. Its pinched, uneven walls and ragged mouth are formed by hand. The first listing frame steps back to show the piece perched on a wheel in the corner of a studio.
