A rounded, egg-shaped handbuilt boulder that narrows to a small torn mouth at the top — here holding a spray of dried lavender. Its dark chocolate-bronze skin carries a glossy metallic sheen — salt-fired — and is broken all over by a fine fissured crust of cracks. The domed underside shows pale sage-and-gold patches and a few faint scratched marks. It was photographed on a studio worktable against blurred shelving.
Is there a number on the base? The underside carries faint scratched marks, but they don’t read clearly enough to call a number. Piece 1,721 of 10,000, listed at $17.21.
