The other May cup, and clearly 2144’s sibling — same dry scrubbed weathering over cream, but the palette shifted a register colder: silver-grey mist where 2144 goes umber, rust-orange streaks cutting through the grey, and a scatter of white speck-grit sitting proud of the surface. The same cream liner rolls over the lip. All three photos are taken in the maker’s hand, so the cup is only ever seen held. The base shows a faint ring and “2145” handwritten in brown.
Sibling or twin? Sibling — set beside 2144 the kinship is unmistakable, but this one weathered grey where that one weathered brown, like two boards off the same fence facing different directions. Piece 2145 of 10,000, listed at $21.45.
