Across the reserve gap, the range restarts dark: a rounded handbuilt bowl-cup crusted charcoal-black and washed with silvery-grey haze bands, like wet slate. Mid-flank the dark coat simply isn’t there — one raw bite where pale foamy clay shows through — and a rust-tan bare zone rides low on the other side, with short crack lines near the foot and pinholes through the dark. Inside, a warm bare-tan well with a glossy slick at the rim. The coat ends in a ragged dipped edge around the foot; the base shows “2130” handwritten in dark maroon-brown. Piece 2129 is a reserve number, so the chain resumes here.
What’s the bite? A patch the dark coat never covered — pale, foamy-textured clay looking out of the black like a window. Piece 2130 of 10,000, listed at $21.30.
