Faceted trim planes edge the foot, and the base shows “2128” handwritten in black — with a grey smear dragged straight through the digits, left exactly as it fired.
What happened to the number? Something brushed it while wet, pulling a grey streak through the ink — still perfectly legible, just marked by its own making. Piece 2128 of 10,000, listed at $21.28.
