A near-spherical, handbuilt charcoal boulder — closed and rock-like, opening only at a torn crater mouth on top, no neck and no handles. The wall is deeply cratered and pocked, and across the sunlit photos its raised ridges catch a cool pewter luster while the hollows stay dark. It is staged on a round table in a wood-panelled workshop, a window and electrical panels behind.
