A tapered plum cup ringed with soft coil-like bands, its rim crumbling like a sandcastle’s, photographed outdoors on cracked orange earth. The bands stay soft rather than crisp, so they live here in prose; the hand-building is unmistakable either way.
What made the rings? Bands of clay built up the wall and their seams still show softly — clear enough to see, too soft to certify. Piece 1,636 of 10,000, listed at $16.36.
