The first in-hand photo of the range shows exactly how small the stony cups run: this ribbed tumbler sits inside a palm with room to spare. Pronounced horizontal throwing ribs circle it under a grey speckled glaze; the lower band goes bare toasted tan, blushing rust at the foot; a small bare notch interrupts the glaze-slicked rim. Its base disc carries a spiral swirl and the number incised into the clay — “2122” scratched shallow, the tail digit faint.
Why incised, not written? This one’s scratched in before firing rather than inked after — the run around it mostly writes; 2122 carves. Piece 2122 of 10,000, listed at $21.22.
